Adding a Time Block Exception

Adding a Time Block Exception

Overview

Time block exceptions let you make specific time blocks unavailable for a reservation or event product without creating $0 admin orders or changing your weekly Available Time Blocks.

This is useful for blocking off a court, room, or other event/reservation product for a specific date and time range.

For example, if you have a private event scheduled on Court 1 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM on 5/30, you can add a time block exception to prevent customers from being able to book the court during that time.

Adding a Time Block Exception

  1. From your admin end, go to Products > Add/Edit Product and select the reservation or event product you'd like to add the exception to (example: Court 1 Reservation).
  2. Within the product settings, click the Availability tab.
  3. Scroll past your regular recurring time slots to the Exceptions section at the bottom of the page.
  4. Select the start date and end date you want to block off.
    1. If you're adding an exception for just one date, select the same date for both the start and end date.
  5. Enter the start and end time for the unavailable period, or check the All Day box to block the entire selected date range.
  6. Click the blue Save Exception button.
  7. Once saved, any time blocks within that exception window will automatically be removed from customer availability.
The sample below shows a time block exception added for 5/15/2026 from 12:00 AM–2:00 PM.

From the customer’s perspective, time blocks on 5/15/2026 between 12:00 AM and 2:00 PM will no longer appear as available to book.

Deleting a Time Block Exception

If you want to remove a time block exception and make those time slots available again, find the exception in the Exceptions section and click the X icon on the right. Once deleted, the time blocks will immediately return to their regular availability.

Adding Multiple Exceptions

You can add as many time block exceptions as needed for a product in a single session. Just make sure to save each one before creating another. All upcoming exceptions will be listed at the bottom of the Exceptions section.
