Barcode Reader Programming - Facility Code '0'

Overview

The following instructions program Latitude Security's optical barcode reader to read 26-bit Wiegand barcodes with the facility code '0'. As a result of this programming exercise, the reader will only read 5-digit barcodes up to 65,535.  It will also accept 6-digit codes ONLY if the first digit is '0'.

IMPORTANT:  Once the programming is applied, the scanner will be unable to read any other facility code.

Step 1

Power the reader and scan this code once:


Reboot the scanner by power cycling it

Scan this code once:


Reboot the scanner by power cycling it.

Test

Scan a barcode that is 5 digits long within the range of 00001 - 65,535.  The barcode must have leading zeros if the number is less than 5 digits.  For example:
00001 = 1
00010 = 10
00100 = 100
01000 = 1000
10000 = 10000
010000 = 10000
