Camio Hardware Installation Guide
Camera Angle
Determine Your Setup
- If you do not have an existing camera system and or received a new camera from Latitude with a PoE injector, follow the section labeled Wiring (new cameras).
- If your cameras are digital and connected to a subnet, follow the section labeled Wiring (using CamLAN).
- If you are using an NVR with analog cameras, follow the section labeled Wiring (Analog Cameras)
- If your cameras are connected directly to your router or a normal switch, follow the section labeled Wiring (Camera on Main LAN).
Wiring (new cameras)
- The Camio Box must be connected to power and internet.
- The PoE Injector must be connected to power, internet, and the camera.
- The port labeled "LAN" or "Network" (exact label varies) connects to the router / switch.
- The port labeled "PoE" or "Power + Network" (exact label varies) connects to your camera.
If we shipped you a new camera, the Camio box will be preconfigured to find it on the network.
The CAT6 cable from your PoE Injector to your camera varies in length depending on your building and is not provided by Latitude.
Wiring (using CamLAN)
- The Camio Box must be connected to power, internet, and the CamLAN using the included USB to Ethernet adapter.
If your camera system (EagleEye, OpenEye) was sold to you from Latitude, the Camio box will be preconfigured to connect to your camera.
Wiring (Analog Cameras)
- The Camio Box must be connected to power, internet, and the same network as the NVR.
Because the camera is not accessible from the cloud, Latitude needs the following information to complete setup: camera channel number, NVR IP address, NVR admin password.
Wiring (Camera on Main LAN)
- The Camio Box must be connected to power, internet, and the same network as the camera.
If the camera is set up under Eagle Eye, it may be already configured to work with the Camio box. Otherwise, Latitude needs the following information to complete setup: camera IP address, camera admin password.
