Overview

Out of the box, Hikvision cameras all come preconfigured with the same static IP address and other settings that interfere with access the cameras through Eagle Eye. This tutorial will describe the process for first-time setup and configuration of Hikvision cameras to ensure compatibility with their software.
Some companies, such as ENS, use the same configuration process and interface as Hikvision. While there may be slight variation in the appearance of the dashboard, all options should be found in the same location.

Setup

  1. Plug the camera you wish to configure into a POE network connection.
  2. In the URL bar, type 192.168.1.64 and hit enter.
    1. The page will only load once the camera has fully turned on. The camera will make a click sound when this happens, or you may try refreshing the page until it loads.
  3. When prompted, create a new administrator password. This password is needed to make any future changes in the camera configuration. Click OK.

  4. Some cameras may prompt for security questions and or a recovery email. Continue through the guided setup until you reach the dashboard.

  7. Click Security Service near the top of the screen and uncheck Enable Illegal Login Lock, then click Save.
