Disable product sales for a specific date

You can stop sales for any product at any time. Depending on your situation, you can either:

  • Block a specific date using Calendar Restrictions (recommended for temporary closures), or

  • Disable the product entirely (best for indefinite removal)

If your product uses a calendar for date selection, you can close sales for a specific date without taking the product fully offline.

How to Block a Date

  1. On the admin end of your Rhōmb site, go to Products and click Add/Edit Products

  2. Go to the product you want to temporarily stop selling and open its settings.

  3. Click Calendar.

  4. Select Edit Calendar.

  5. Scroll to Product Calendar Restrictions (Blacklist).

  6. Add the date you want to close.

Once the date is added, customers will not be able to purchase the product for that day.

How to Reopen That Date

  1. Return to the product on your admin end.

  2. Click Calendar.

  3. Select Edit Calendar.

  4. Go to Product Calendar Restrictions (Blacklist).

  5. Remove the restricted date.

Sales for that date will become available again immediately.

This option is ideal if you only need to pause sales for the rest of the day, close for a holiday, host a private event, or temporarily stop purchases.


Option 2: Disable the Product (Indefinite Removal)

All products in Rhōmb can be disabled.

When you disable a product:

  • It is removed from your homepage

  • Customers cannot see it

  • Customers cannot purchase it for any date

Technically, this does stop ticket sales. However, this approach is not recommended if you only need to pause sales temporarily.

Once disabled, the product is completely hidden, which means customers will not be able to purchase it for future dates either.

This option is best if you are retiring a product or removing it for an extended period of time.
