Implementation Guide
To transition your site to the new waiver system, follow these steps:
1. Update and Differentiate your Liability Waiver Content & Checkout Terms of Service:
Once the new waiver system has been installed, both your Liability Waiver Content and Checkout TOS Content will display your site's most recent Terms of Service. Before you activate the new waiver system, you must create distinct and updated versions of your Liability Waiver Content and Checkout TOS Content:
Liability Waiver Content
Title: Label your waiver with a relevant title, ex. "2025 Assumption of Risk and Waiver Agreement"
Signatory Label: Include a label for the person signing, ex. "Parent/Guardian"
Participant Label: Define how participants should be referred to on your waiver, ex. "Child"
Content: Make sure your waiver is fully up-to-date and reflects current legal and business requirements. Content should state that signatories must be at least 18 years or older and list any minors they are bringing into the facility.
Checkout Terms of Service (TOS)
The Terms of Service must be checked off before checkout. Update your Terms of Service to include a Waiver Requirement section. This section should clearly state that all participants must have a completed and up-to-date waiver on file, including minors, prior to accessing your facilities or participating in any activities. Entry may be denied, and participation restricted, for any individual who fails to submit a valid waiver.
2. Go to your product settings to activate a require waiver completion.
Once you’re confident that your updated waiver and TOS content meet your requirements, you can activate the waiver requirements on your products. Within your administrative site, toggle Require Account Waiver Button to "Yes" to the products you would like to require a waiver completion for, and click save. The system will now require your customers to fill out a waiver before completing checkout. We recommend activating waivers for all access products. Additionally, turn on the guest waiver settings and the ability to distribute codes to guest for your event booking products if you'd like.
