Change Door Access Within a User Group
Overview
Groups define who has access to which door and when. Users are assigned to at least one group. If a user isn't assigned to a group, that user will not have access to any doors. The following instructions demonstrate how to add and remove access to a specific door.
Add Access to a Door
- Login to Brivo
- On the left-hand menu, navigate to Users > Groups
Click on the "View" link next to the group that requires editing.
- In the "Device Privileges" section, select "All devices"
- Next to the door you wish to provide access to, click the "Schedule" dropdown and select the schedule with the times you want to provide access. (No Access) and (Always Access) are functions built into Brivo that provide zero and 24/7 access respectively.
Remember to click the "Save Changes" button or your settings will be reverted!
Remove Access to a Door
- Repeat steps 1-4 above
- In the door list, go to the Schedule setting for the door where access is being revoked, and select (No Access)
- Save the Group
This change will go into effect immediately after saving.
