Steps to Take Before Going Live

Steps to Take Before Going Live

After you have successfully logged in to the administrative end of your Rhōmb site, please follow the steps listed before you go live and begin accepting customer purchases:

1. Add Your Waiver

If you require customers to sign a waiver before entering, add your waiver text to your site. Your waiver should meet your legal and business needs and clearly state that only those 18 or older can sign.

From your administrative end, go to Waivers/NoticesLiability Waiver Content

2. Add Your Checkout Terms of Service

Create a terms of service that your customers must agree to and check off before being able to checkout. Your checkout terms of service should explicitly outline that customer waivers are up-to-date and include have the correct participants listed during the time of checkout.

From your administrative end, go to Waivers/Notices → Checkout TOS Content

3. Add Your Recurring Bill Authorization Content

If you plan to offer a product/products with recurring billing (ex. monthly membership), write a Recurring Bill Authorization. Including an authorization protects your business in the event a customer disputes a charge, as it provides evidence that the customer acknowledged and agreed to recurring billing terms.

8. Testing

Once you’ve added all the content outlined above, take time to thoroughly test your site before going live.
Things to Test:
  • Make a test purchase: Complete a transaction on your site to confirm payments process successfully. If the payment fails, contact us.

  • Test access control: Use the access code received from your purchase at your entrance. Make sure the door unlocks as expected. If it doesn’t, contact us.

After you’ve confirmed everything is working, you’re ready to start presales and go live. You can create test or live orders yourself (as an administrator under Orders >> Create New Order) or let customers make purchases directly through your storefront.

IMPORTANT! Any transactions you perform will require a real credit card, and payment will be taken upon purchase.  You can test as much as you need, but you should familiarize yourself with Rhōmb Payments to understand how to cancel a payment or issue a refund
